The Fluid Sealing Association has been very active over the past 24 months. We realized that our previous focus, which was predominantly standards driven, would not gain us the industry recognition we needed to truly make the changes member companies were driving towards. So we decided to take a deep breath, step back, and plan a path forward that would elevate the standing of the Association, promote its industry technical and subject matter expert leadership, and ultimately enable our collective voice to be heard.
At the beginning of 2015 we structured a new strategic plan, focusing the Association on the key issue facing our customers – environmental compliance, which expands into energy conservation and methane emissions abatement. Using our Government Affairs and Marketing groups as leaders, we have actively engaged the rule making bodies, EPA and DOE, and the World Trade Organization to advocate for change. Results to date have been outstanding and the FSA is starting to be recognized as a leading voice in the environmental compliance space. It’s clear we cannot and should not do this on our own. In conjunction with this effort we have increased our scope of 3rd party strategic partnerships and relationships so that we can collectively work to impact the rules and standards impacting our ultimate customers.
Click here to see a document that will provide some insight into the activities happening within the FSA over the past 2 years. The list is short and has somewhat limited detail so we strongly recommend that you reach out and ask for more information. We would welcome the opportunity to share more information at our upcoming General Meeting in New Orleans on October 6-8. Registration information can be found here.
