Expansion Joint Division – FSA Annual Meeting 2017
On October 26, in Fort Worth, Texas, the Expansion Joint Division will be discussing the activities of the Ducting Technical Committee, which includes reviewing of material properties and specifications and guideline for application and selection. The Piping Technical Committee will discuss the updated technical handbook and educational activities and opportunities. The Compression Packing Division will meet in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 26 to discuss an update of their technical handbook, joint projects with the ESA, and studies being done by CETIM. The division is developing a three-part webinar series that will include information on compression packing installation. The Mechanical Seals Division will be meeting on October 26 in Fort Worth, Texas. Discussion topics include upgrades to the Life Cycle Cost tool, including a new pump version. The Gasket Division of the FSA will be meeting on October 26. They will discuss the development of educational webinars for end users and higher level training on subjects such as bolting and safety. Government Affairs Committee – FSA Annual Meeting 2017
At their meeting on October 24 in Fort Worth, the Government Affairs Committee will be discussion their efforts to reach out to USTR Representative Lighthizer regarding a possibly study for the Trump Administration on the GA and addressing the trade debt, with which FSA could be of some assistance. The Marketing Committee discussed the Membership Value Campaign, which included letters written by FSA members with their personal reasons for their membership in the FSA and what they find is the value of that membership.
